British Naturism are delighted to be hosting a group holiday for members at El Portús between 6th and 13th May 2024.
The Resort
There’s nowhere quite like El Portús. Situated on Spain’s Costa Calida and nestling in a sheltered, south-facing bay, with spectacular mountain and sea views, El Portús is the prime Naturist holiday destination in Southern Spain.
It’s right on a nude beach, has two pools – one in summer and one – covered and heated – in winter, two restaurants (also one in summer, one in winter), bar, well-stocked grocery shop, and sports courts.
It’s set in an area full of interest, and close to the lively cosmopolitan city of Cartagena, with Roman sites including a large theatre, museums, 15th Century Castle, Civil War refuges, art galleries, marina, shops, bars and restaurants.

Hacienda Montalvo is a beautiful, modern building in the heart of El Portús, close to the restaurant and shop. There are 15 air-conditioned studio apartments, all with sea views, and two are designed for guests with disabilities. Each apartment sleeps two comfortably, but some apartments can accommodate more using a sofa bed. There is a well equipped kitchen with microwave, grill, hob and kettle, built-in wardrobes, lounge area with TV, modern shower room , and a large, south-facing balcony with patio furniture. Bed linen and towels are provided and changed once a week. Bring your own towels for the beach.

Mostly situated on the edges of the camping ground are the most basic of the mobile homes They sleep two comfortably but can accommodate four using the sofa bed in the lounge. There is a kitchen, shower room with WC, and a covered terrace with a table and chairs. Bed linen and towels are provided and changed once a week. Bring your own towels for the beach.

Replacing the old mobile homes in the centre of the camping area close to the petanca courts, nine modern Type ‘A’ mobile homes are now available. They have the same floor plan as the existing casitas, but with up to date fitments, more head room and air-conditioning.

Mostly situated on the hillside, with stunning views, these larger mobile homes are equipped for four people in comfort. There is a lounge area with a kitchen, a double and a twin bedroom, shower room with WC, and a large covered terrace with a table and chairs. Air-conditioning doubles as heating if needed in the winter months. Bed linen and towels are provided and changed once a week. Bring your own towels for the beach.
Group activity
Your hosts for the break are Andrew and Sue who have been guests on group holidays before - including at El Portús.
They will be on hand throught the break and will arrange a number of optional group activities during your stay. An additional fee may be charged for excursions.
A programme of activities will be arranged and on previous group holidays has included quizzes, walks, a spa session, sports events, group lunches and dinners, and trips off the site.
Previous trips have included one or more of: a day out in Cartagena, a vineyard trip, liqueur factory tour, visit to nude beaches at a nature reserve and/or boat BBQ.
Travel
On this occasion it is not possible to arrive ahead of our break but you are welcome to stay-on at a daily rate. In fact, if you stay 14 nights or more, the per night rate is considerably reduced.
Guests must make their own travel, car hire and insurance arrangements.
The BN holiday price is accommodation only, but taxi transfers in Spain can be booked for an additional cost. There are regular flights from the UK to the local airport (Region de Murcia International - RMU), 30 minutes drive away. Some guests fly to Alicante (ALC), 90 minutes drive away.
