Scotney Castle is a 14th century moated castle and romantic walled garden all located in a beautiful wooded estate, looked after by the National Trust since 1970. It is easily accessible from the A21, 21 miles south of the M25. There will be plenty of free parking.
The garden is abundantly planted in a former quarry and the path winds down to the river fed moat. The lawns have framing mature and exotic trees which are planted with beds of massed rhododendron, kalmia, and other shrubs. The remains of the castle built 1370 makes a memorable and iconic picture.
Choose between a Garden Visit or a Garden visit with a freshly prepared hamper basket consisting of:

Cake selection – smaller portions of brownie, Victoria sponge and orange, lemon & lime cake
